Oh man! – I'd *love* to go to this! [–let's see, if I get in the car now, … … hmmm, what flights are there, down to NYC, today?… ;)]
For all you going: have fun, you lucky ducks – I'll be there, in spirit!
Aaaaaah! What is this, a sneak attack? I was on their site like three times this week, trying to figure out when gala tickets go on sale, and I'm just finding out about this now? I can't go. Am bummed. And the slouching hipsters at McCarren probably won't appreciate it. They'll just be like, “Whuh? This isn't Grizzly Bear.”
I can't go either! I already had tickets to something else by the time I heard about it. I hope someone goes.
Aw, did anyone go? Did it get rained out, maybe?
Their Facebook and the blog http://weareopusjazz.blogspot.com/ have got some *great* behind-the-scenes photos and videos … I especially loved this: http://weareopusjazz.blogspot.com/2009/09/craig… (I'm a big Rebecca Krohn fan, and the four NYCB dancers in this video are amazing, and just too funny! … it's a really cute video.)
This looked like a great event, Opus Jazz is fantastic to see live.
